Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MyTripDude's website and mobile application (together, the "Service"), operated by MyTripDude ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If the law in your jurisdiction requires a higher minimum age to enter into these Terms without parental consent, you must meet that age instead. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
• Notify us immediately at support@mytripdude.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. The Service

MyTripDude helps you plan trips, track expenses, store travel documents, build itineraries, keep notes and checklists, and collaborate with other users on shared trips. The Service is currently free to use.

We may introduce paid plans, subscriptions, or paid features in the future. This applies to all users, including those who created an account while the Service was free - free access today does not entitle you to free access indefinitely. Before any charge applies to your account, we will update these Terms and give you advance notice (through the Service or by email) with a reasonable opportunity to review the new pricing and cancel or downgrade before being charged. Continuing to use a feature that has become paid, after that notice period, constitutes your agreement to the applicable charges.

4. Your Content

"Your Content" means the trips, expenses, documents, photos, notes, and other information you upload or create using the Service. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (and to any collaborators you choose to share it with).

You are solely responsible for Your Content, including any identity documents (such as passports or driving licences) you choose to upload or store. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes on someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to share - including other people's personal or identity documents without their permission.

5. Collaboration and Shared Trips

If you invite collaborators to a trip, you control which sections of that trip they can view. You are responsible for deciding who to invite and what to share with them. If you remove a collaborator or leave/delete a trip, their access is revoked, but content they contributed while collaborating (such as expenses they logged) may remain part of the trip record for the trip owner.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service beyond normal, intended use
• Upload malicious code or content that infringes on third-party rights

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (for example Google Sign-In and Google Places for location search) to deliver certain features. Your use of those integrations may also be subject to the relevant third party's own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

8. Account Deactivation and Deletion

You may deactivate your account at any time from Settings; your data is retained but your access is disabled during the deactivation period, after which reactivation may no longer be available. You may also request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing support@mytripdude.com; see our Privacy Policy for details and timing. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we are not responsible for travel decisions you make based on information (such as places, currency conversions, or exchange rates) provided through the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyTripDude will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the effective date above when we do, and will notify you of material changes through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
