Accessibility Statement
Effective date: August 16, 2026
This statement applies to both the MyTripDude website and the MyTripDude mobile app (together, the "Service"). We want everyone - including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard alone, or need larger text or higher contrast - to be able to plan and manage their trips with MyTripDude.
1. Our Target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the common industry standard for web and mobile accessibility. This is a goal we are actively working toward, not a certified conformance claim - we have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit.
2. What We've Done
- Semantic HTML and ARIA roles/labels on interactive elements (dialogs, menus, form controls) on the web
- Full keyboard navigation support for interactive components on the web
- Native platform components in the mobile app, which work with the device's built-in screen reader (TalkBack on Android) and system text-size settings by default
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images, and decorative images marked so screen readers skip them
- A colour palette designed with contrast in mind, and status/meaning that doesn't rely on colour alone
3. Known Limitations
Some parts of the Service may not yet fully meet every WCAG 2.1 AA criterion - for example, the trip-notes editor renders inside an embedded web view for format parity with the website, which can behave less predictably with some assistive technology than a fully native screen. We're aware of this class of issue and are working through it incrementally rather than claiming full compliance today.
4. Feedback
If you find an accessibility barrier anywhere in MyTripDude - website or app - please tell us. We treat these reports seriously and will do our best to fix genuine issues. Contact us at support@mytripdude.com, or through our Contact page.
5. Reviewing This Statement
We review and update this statement as we make accessibility improvements. We will revise the effective date above when we do.
